Program for Part-Time Faculty Newly-Appointed to Villanova University

Dear Faculty,

Welcome to Villanova University! We are delighted that you are joining our teaching community, and we look forward to meeting you during the virtual orientation program, offered synchronously via Zoom, on Wednesday August 14, 5:30 – 8:00 p.m.  The program has been designed to ensure a smooth, successful transition to your instructional role and familiarize you with mission, policies, and resources.

Prior to the program, you will be invited to participate in an asynchronous course on learning-centered online teaching offered in Blackboard. Please log into Blackboard  and sign in with your Villanova email and password. Once in Blackboard, look under My Organizations on the right side of the page and then click on Seminar for Newly-Appointed Faculty at Villanova. The seminar offers videos, resources on student engagement and syllabus development, and other academic resources. You need to have a VU email and password to sign in (please reach out to the Office of the Provost for further details).
